Puriel Angel
Puriel (other spellings: Pyriel, Puruel, Pusiel, Pyruel, and Purel) is an angel who appears in the apocryphal Testament of Abraham, a second-century apocalyptic narrative of Abraham’s ascension to heaven. Puriel is characterised as “fiery and pitiless,” and is one of two angels (together with Dokiel) tasked with the responsibility of scrutinising the souls of those taken to heaven upon death.
