Yushamin Angel
Yushamin (Classical Mandaic: ), also known as the ‘Second Life’ in Mandaeism, is the primal uthra (angel or guardian) and a subservient emanation created by the Mandaean God ‘The Great Life’ (Hayyi Rabbi or ‘The First Life’), thereby initiating the material world’s existence. Yushamin is Abatur’s father. According to Jorunn J. Buckley, Yushamin is “both an impenetrable Lightworld utra and the prototype of a priest who has made ceremonial errors.”
